Hi, Friends! It's been a long time since I've posted anything; I've taken time off from Sew Happy Stitch Happy for my health. These past 9 months have been challenging yet transformative.
I put my mental health as my #1 priority for the first time in my life. This is a journey and I look forward to continuing to learn how to grow my self worth. For the past couple weeks I've been preparing to go back to SHSH full time, but unfortunately I've suffered some setbacks.
With a broken heart I announce Trouble passed away. My first dog, whom we brought home 3 days after our honeymoon, who was almost 17 years old...is at rest. In the uncontrollable situation of death, I was privileged to shape so much of the last stage of his life. With pain management care at home, endless treats, continuous love, we were able to end his suffering. He passed away in the most peaceful way I could ask for, and it was my honor to be with him during his final breath. The photo below was taken a year ago before his health seriously declined.
A few hours after that, I was notified by Facebook that my Instagram was hacked then disabled I can't even log in to initiate an appeal. Since my FB and IG were linked, both are disabled. I'm working on retrieving anything I possibly can, with Meta being no help whatsoever. I've reach out to my states Attorney General as that's the next step towards a solution. I hope I can restore my Sew Happy Stitch Happy Instagram. I honestly don't know if that's a possibility. I may have to start all over which is devastating.
The next day, I discovered someone hacked into my Amazon Prime account, using all of my points, my gift cards, and my credit card charging thousands of dollars. They deleted my email and added theirs, changed the password. I was on the phone with customer service for almost 4 hours, only to have them forward a report to their fraud department. It was 3 days later when they emailed me stating they see no evidence of fraud. To make matters worse, the bank claims we "benefited from the transactions" and determined we are responsible for the charges which is ridiculous. We filed a police report and are waiting for this whole mess to be over.
Around this all happening, my husband was rear ended in a pile up involving 4 cars. Gratefully he was not seriously injured. Our car was totaled.
In the meantime, I'm sewing book sleeves (including a new type of sleeve) and I'm looking forward to rejoining the reading community which I've missed tremendously.
Talk to you all soon 💙🪡💜
