Hi! My name is Carrie and I’m the woman behind Sew Happy Stitch Happy! I’m joyfully married with a son and daughter who are equal parts cute, kind, and energetic. Our three dogs (Trouble, Mischief, and Mayhem) complete our family.
Growing up with a creative mother, I have memories of her baking, sewing, reading to us, knitting, and more. She would whip up elaborate costumes while our home smelled of freshly baked bread. It wasn’t until my son was born when I realized how much I cherished those memories. I decided to pick up more handmade hobbies, and soon I was baking and sewing the things from my childhood. I’m lucky enough my mom still sets the most wonderful example for me to follow, especially now that she’s been promoted to “Nana!”
I love trying new recipes, often with my son’s help. I love when my daughter asks me to make her skirt or dress as she searches through my stash for the perfect fabric. Hopefully one day, they’ll look back and cherish these times just as I did with my mom.
In 2018 I made a couple book sleeves as gifts. They were a hit and I was encouraged to sell them. Since then I have sold over 3,000 book sleeves online, in local shops, craft festivals, and more. I truly treasure combining two of my hobbies: reading and sewing!
The word grateful doesn’t come close to describing how I feel being able to create for a living! I owe it to each and every one of my customers- without you I wouldn’t be able to do what I love! Thank you!!
